إن جميع علماء النفس يذهبون إلى أن الذكاء من أهم مميزات الشخصية؛ لأنه يعني مختلف القدرات العقلية التي يتمتع بها الإنسان، أما "قوة الإرادة" فلا أظن أننا بحاجة إلى تبصير القارئ بأنها هي الأخرى من مميزات الشخصية الإنسانية.
فالذكاء طاقة أو قوة إنسانية، والإرادة أيضًا قوة إنسانية، ولعل هذا هو السبب الذي حدا بنا إلى أن نجمع بين الذكاء وبين قوة الإرادة في مؤلف واحد معًا.
بيد أن هناك رؤية فكرية لدي المؤلف، وهي على بساطتها يمكن أن تشكل فلسفة تقود الشخص إلى النجاح، خاصة إذ كان النجاح في إطار نفس الرؤية الفكرية لا يعني سوى "تحقيق الذات" خاصة- أيضًا- إذا كان ما يعنيه المؤلف "بتحقيق الذات" هو التوظيف الأمثل لكافة القوة والقدرات العقلية والنفسية لبلوغ أقصى إبداع ممكن لعمل تلك القوى في مختلف الميادين.
من هنا كانت أهمية الربط بين "الذكاء" وبين "قوة الإرادة".
