كما يعرف الكتاب بالطلبة المضطربين سلوكياً وبصفاتهم وينتقل الى تصنيف الاضطرابات السلوكية وبيان أنواعها وطرق التعامل مع الطلبة المضطربين سلوكياً، ويشير الى الإتجاهات النظرية في تفسير العصاب كالاتجاه السلوكي والفسيولوجي، ويتطرق الى خصائص المضطربين سلوكيا وإلى بعض المشكلات السلوكية المتعلقة بعدم الشعور بالأمن مثل الخوف والقلق، كما يبحث اضطرابات العادات مثل مص الابهام وقضم الاظافر والتبول، ويوضح أساليب العلاج المختلفة مثل العلاجة السلوكي وذكر أساليب تعديل السلوكيات المضطربة ومناهج وطرق تدريس الاطفال ذوي الاضطرابات السلوكية.
