يتضمن الكتاب شرحاً لماهية الورق التجارية وخصائصها كما يميز بين الأواراق التجارية والأوراق النقدية ويوضح الكتاب أنواع الأوراق التجاريه والوظائف الإقتصادية لها وقانون الأوراق التجارية ثم يتناول بعد ذلك إنشاء الشيك والشروط الموضوعيه لإنشائه وجزاء تخلفها ويبّين سلطة التوقيع على الشك وكيفية كتابة الشك ويوضح بياناته وتأريخه كما ويتناول الشك المعيب وبطلان الشك وأثر هذا البطلان على مسؤولية الساحب الجنائيه ثم يتحدث الكتاب عن تداول الشيك والتظهير الناقل للملكية وشروط التظهير الموضوعية والشكليه والشروط الإختياريه ويتضمن الكتاب قاعده تظهير الدفوع بالتظهير ويعرفها ويبين أهميتها ثم يتناول ضمانات الوفاء بالشيك مقابل الوفاء شروطها وإثباتاتها والجزاء المترتب على انعدام مقابل الوفاء ويتطرق الكتاب أيضاً الى الوفاء بقيمة الشيك ثم بعد ذلك يتناول السقوط والتقادم في الشيك وينتهي الكتاب بالحديث عن أنواع خصه من الشيكات.
