"تقول زميلتكم إن المجني عليه كان يحمل في جيبه ألفي جنيه، تسلمها ثمناً لثمار حديقة البرتقال، كما قرر بذلك العاملون في مزرعته وبعض ذويه.. فلم لا نفترض أن واحداً ممن يعلمون بأنه يحمل المبلغ في جيبه -وهم كثيرون- من رجال مزرعته مثلاً، أو بعض رفاق تاجر الفاكهة الذي سلمه الألفي جنيه. لم لا نفترض أن واحداً من هؤلاء سبقه إلى داره، ودخلها من الباب الخلقي -وهو شيء ليس صعباً- وانتظر وصول المجني عليه، وهو يحمل هذا المبلغ الكبير من المال، وتربص به في غرفة نومه -مختبئاً في أي ركن من أركانها- حتى إذا وصل هاجمه، ليغتصب منه هذا المبلغ.. فاشتجرا، بدليل وجود آثار مقاومة في الغرفة، كما ورد في التحقيق الذي نشرت الصحف جانباً منه، وعندما وجد اللص أن أمره سيفتضح حتماً، وسينتهي بالقبض عليه، وتسليمه للشرطة، لجأ إلى خنجره فقتله، وسرق ما وصلت إليه يداه، وانصرف دون أن يراه أحد.
"أما عن الفتاة فلا بد أنها كانت قد أفاقت من تأثير المخدر بعد ذلك، واكتشفت مقتل صاحب السيارة الذي استدرجها لركوب سيارته، ثم خدرها وحملها إلى مسكنه ليعتدي عليها، فأسرعت بالخروج من باب الخدم، حتى لا تتهم في جريمة قتل لا يد لها فيها، ولا شأن لها بها، وبعد أن خرجت، اكتشف البواب وصديق المجنى عليه الجريمة، فأبلغا الشرطة، التي بدأت التحقيق في الجريمة.
