وبعد فان الوجوه والنظائر علم يوضح الألفاظ المشتركة المستعملة في معان متعددة كأن يكون لكلمة (الهدى ) سبع عشر معنى او وجها- في القرآن يفسرها مقاتل ويعلق عليها المحقق والكتاب تراث عريق من تراثنا ويكفي أنه اول كتاب كتب في موضوع الاشباة والنظائر في القرآن الكريم.
