دفعتنى الرغبة الصادقة في العناية بالتراث الإسلامي فأقدمت على اتخاذ "أبن باجة" موضوعا لهذا الكتاب وقد قسمت كتابي إلى اربعة أبواب رئيسية: يتناول الباب الأول دراسة حياته ومصنفاته وسيتضح منها كيف كانت حياته ومكانته العلمية والفلسفية في المجتمع الاندلسي والغربي وبالا عليه، وفي الباب الثاني الذي يدور حول نظرياته في مبادئ الموجودات والحركة والزمان والمكان واللامتناهى والعالم والنفس في مجالها الفيزيقي والميتافيزيقي سيتضح لنا كيف تعمق ابن باجة في دراسة هذه الموضوعات وكيف كانت تعبر عن نزعته العلقلية الواضحة التى اتسم بها مذهبه عموما، اما الباب الثالث من مذهبه وهو الذي يدور حول نظريته في المعرفة فهو يقوم أساسا على إبراز أهمية الإدراك بل صعد منه إلى الإدراك العقلي الذي يتسم باليقين، وقد انتقلت إلى البحث في الأخلاق والسياسة وهى موضوع الباب الرابع من هذا الكتاب وبينت كيف كانت نظريته في السياسة والأخلاق تقوم على مبادئ عقلية وبحيث أستطاعت أن تمثل النسق الفلسفي الذي استخدمته فلاسفة السياسة وأدبائها في المشرق والمغرب أكثر آرائهم ونظرياتهم.
