تفسير (الكشاف) للزمخشري له قيمة بلاغية كبيرة، كان يُفْتَنُ بها ابن المُنَيِّر، خَلاَ ما فيها من الاعتزال، وألّف ابنُ المُنَيَّر كتابه (الانتصاف من صاحب الكشاف) ووُضِعَ على هامش (الكشاف)، وقد ضَمّ مناقشات ابن المُنَيَّر للزمخشري على تفسير (الكشاف)، وقد اعتذر ابن المُنَيَّر عن الجهاد في حروب الصليبيين في شبابه لانشغاله في مُصَنَّفِه هذا بجهاد آخر، وهو الدفاع عن العقيدة الأشعرية والرّد على الزمخشري، ومع أن (الانتصاف) أُلـِّف لهذا الغرض، لكننا لا نعدم مناقشات علمية أخرى، والذي يهمنا هو ما تَضَمَّنه هذا المؤلّف من بحوث بلاغية من خلال تّعقُّباته على تفسير الزمخشري، ونقاش فَنِّيٍّ يكشف عما كان لابن المُنَيَّر من ذوق بلاغيّ، وحِسٍّ في نظم التراكيب.
