·حصل على شهادة الماجستير عام 1982م من جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية في الرياض ، ثم حصل على الدكتوراه.
oعمل في مجال التدريس ، فدرّس اللغة الإنجليزية ،ودرَّس اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها و عمل في كلية التربية بجامعة الملك سعود.

لو قيل لأحدنا: إن رسالة خاصة جاءتك من الملك، ووزيره بالباب ينتظر ليسلمك إياها، فكيف يكون شعوره؟ ألا يهرع إلى الباب لاستلامها، ثم يسرع بفضها لمعرفة ما جاء فيها؟.. أليس القرآن الكريم رسالة من الله سبحانه، الملك القدوس السلام، موجهة إلى الناس كافة بصورة عامة، وإلى الذين آمنوا منهم بصورة خاصة، وفيها من الإرشاد والتوجيه، والأوامر والنواهي ما تتوقف عليه سعادة المرء المؤقتة في الدنيا، والمستمرة في الآخرة؟ فلماذا- إذن- نتهاون في قراءته، وتدبره، والائتمار بأوامره، واجتناب نواهيه؟
القرآن كتاب يصنع النفوس، ويصنع الأمم، ويبني الحضارة.. هذه قدرته.. هذه طاقته.. فأما أن يفتح المصباح فلا يرى أحد النور لأن أبصاره مغلقة، فالعيب عيب الأبصار التي أبت أن تنتفع بالنور، والله تعالى يقول: "قد جاءكم من الله نور وكتاب مبين" يهدي به الله من اتبع رضوانه سبل السلام*"، ولا شك أن التدبر هو المرحلة التي تسبق العمل، إذ ما فائدة العلم بلا عمل: "يا أيها الذين آمنوا لم تقولون ما لا تفعلون* كبر مقتًا عند الله أن تقولوا ما لا تفعلون".
