وليد إبراهيم قصاب (1949) شاعر وأكاديمي أدبي سوري. ولد في دمشق وتخرج من جامعتها مجازًا في اللغة العربية سنة 1970. حصل على دبلوم في التربية منها أيضًا ودبلوم في الصحافة من أمريكا، وماجستير في الآداب من قسم اللغة العربية من جامعة القاهرة سنة 1973 والدكتوراه من القسم نفسه في 1976. عمل في التعليم الجامعي في كل من سوريا والإمارات والسعودية، كما أنه أستاذ زائر في عدد من الجامعات. له مؤلفات أدبية ونقدية عديدة.
سيرته
ولد وليد إبراهيم قصاب في دمشق عام 1949 م/ 1368 هـ ونشأ بها في أسرة مسلمة. وتلقى تعليمه الأولي في مدارسها. نال إجازة في اللغة العربية من جامعة دمشق سنة 1970، ودبلوم التربية عام 1971 من جامعة نفسها، ونال درجة الماجستير في 1973، والدكتوراة في عام 1976 من جامعة القاهرة.
عمل معيداً في جامعة حلب، ثم مدرساً في جامعة الملك سعود للفترة من 1977 حتى 1982، ثم أستاذاً مساعداً في جامعة الإمارات العربية المتحدة من 1982 حتى 1988، ثم في كلية الدراسات الإسلامية والعربية بدبي من 1989 حتى 2003، وعمل خلالها أستاذاً منتدباً في جامعة عجمان وجامعة القدس المفتوحة فرع دبي لمدة أربع سنوات. ثم أستاذًا في جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية في الرياض ومديرًا لتحرير مجلّة الأدب الإسلامي.
