لقد أصبحت نظرية داروين "حول تطوّر الإنسان من القرد" تمثّل جوهر مفهومنا الذي يفسّر أصل الإنسان، وقد أصبحت هذه النظرية مقبولة في جميع أنحاء العالم اليوم مما جعلها تؤثّر بشكل كبير في قولبة طريقة تفكيرنا، إن كان بما يتعلّق بالحياة بشكل عام ونظرتنا تجاه أنفسنا بشكل خاص، كل ذلك بالرغم من أن هذه النظرية كانت وما زالت تواجه مشكلات جدية وحاسمة تهدد مصداقيتها.
