عالم نفس وفيلسوف إنساني ألماني أمريكي ولد في مدينة فرانكفورت -ألمانيا في 23 مارس عام 1900. هاجر إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في 1934 من أعماله :الخوف من الحرية (1941) التحليل النفسى والدين (1950) اللغة المنسية : مدخل إلى فهم الأحلام والقصص الخيالية والأساطير (1951) المجتمع العاقل (1955) رسالة سيجموند فرويد : تحليل لشخصيته وتأثيره (1959) أزمة التحليل النفسى : مقالات عن فرويد وماركس وعلم النفس الاجتماعى (1970) تشريح نزوع الإنسان إلى التدمير (1973) كما حرر كتبا، بأقلام كتاب متعددين عن بوذية زن ومفهوم ماركس للإنسان وغيرها توفي فروم في 23 مارس عام 1980.
Book Description
يعدّ أريك فروم من ابرز المحلّلين النفسيين المجدّدين، وصاحب الثورة الثالثة في علم النفس بمدرسته المعروفة بـ "التحليل النفسي الإنساني". درس فروم علم النفس وعلم الإجتماع في جامعات هايدلبرغ وفرانكفورت ومونيخ، وتدرّب على الطب النفسي في "معهد برلين للتحليل النفسي". وبدأ بمزاولة الطب النفسي سنة 1926، وتقلّد مناصب جامعية متعددة قبل أن يصبح أستاذ الطب النفسي في جامعة نيويورك. وقد كان عالماً نفسياً إجتماعياً شديد الإهتمام بمجتمعات عصره وتطورها.
ويتميز كتاب "التحليل النفسي والدين" بأهميته في بسط المفهومات الضرورية لفهم الظاهرة الدينية، كمفهوم "الحاجة إلى إطار للتوجّه والإخلاص"، وضرورة التفريق بين الفكر الديني والخبرة الإنسانية التي خلفه، وجوانب الخبرة الدينية وأنماطها، والمبدأ التسلّطي، والمبدأ الإنساني في الدين، والنزاع بينهما، وبيان أن المقاربة التحليلية النفسية للدين تهدف إلى فهم الواقع خلف الأنظمة الفكرية، وأن الإعتقاد المعلن لا يعبّر عن الإعتقاد الحقيقي للمرء، وأنه لا فكرة أقوى من منشئها الإنفعالي.
أما عن اختلاف مقاربة فروم للدين عن مقاربتي فرويد ويونغ أودّ أن أتناولها لأن المؤلف قد ابتدأ كتابه بتفحصه لمفهوم الدين عند كل منهما، قبل أن يقدم أطروحته.
يعد إريك فروم هذا الكتاب مواصلة للأفكار المعبّر عنها في كتابه "الإنسان من أجل ذاته: بحث في سيكولوجيّة الأخلاق"، فالنظام الأخلاقي والدّين مترابطان، إلّا أنّه حاول في هذا الكتاب التركيز على مشكلة الدّين في حين انصبّ اهتمامه على الأخلاق في "الإنسان من أجل ذاته".
