لقد أدى التطور السريع في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات إلى حدوث ثورة في مجال الخدمات Services وقد أصبحت صناعة الخدمة هي المستثمر الأساسي في هذه التكنولوجيا. وتلعب دوراً هاماً في زيادة درجة العولمة Globalization نظراً لما تؤدي إليه من زيادة الربط بين الإقتصادات المختلفة على مستوى العالم، وقد ساعدت ثورة المعلومات Information Revolution على إمكانية الإتصال بالأسواق المالية العالمية Global Financial Markets والحصول على معلومات منها فيما يتعلق بالصفقات والعمليات المنفذة فيها.
وهذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا قد قسم إلى أربعة أبواب، يتألف كل منها من مجموعة فصول؛ فالباب الأول يدرس المرتكزات الأساسية لعولمة جودة الخدمات المصرفية، ويتألف من أربعة فصول؛ قدم الفصل الأول عملية بناء نموذج عولمة جودة الخدمات المصرفية من خلال بزوغ فكرة البناء، ويعرض الفصل الثاني ماهية الجودة وفلسفتها ومبادئها ومراحل تحول المصارف إلى إدارة الجودة الشاملة، أما الفصل الثالث فيوضح ماهية الخدمة وطبيعتها ومفهوم الجودة في الخدمات وعولمة جودة هذه الخدمة، في حين خُصص الفصل الرابع لدراسة ماهية إدارة المصارف وطبيعة عملها والعلاقة بين إدارة الجودة والخدمة المصرف؛ ويدرس الباب الثاني: العنصر الأول للنموذج، وهو العولمة، ويتألف من فصلين هما الخامس والسادس.
علاوة على ذلك، يختص الباب الثالث بالعنصر الثاني للنموذج، وهو جودة الخدمة، ويتألف من الفصل السابع والثامن؛ ويختص الباب الرابع (الأخير) بالخدمة المصرفية، ويضم الفصل التاسع والعاشر، إذ يعرض الفصل التاسع ماهية الخدمات المصرفية وعولمتها؛ ويناقش الفصل العاشر الخدمات المصرفية في إطار عولمة الجودة.
