وبكثير من الصدق والشفافية، جرى الحوار نزيهاً هادئاً، متسلسلاً، بين السائل والمجيب، وكأنه لغة الاستيضاح والتزود بالمعرفة، فغدت مفاهيم القومية والوحدة العربية أساساً تفرعت منه عشرات الأسئلة، التي تناولت أسباب الدعوة إلى الوحدة، وكيف السبيل إلى تحقيقها في ظل كيانات قطرية مجزأة، وما هي شروط العمل القومي، وما علاقة القومية بالتقدمية والرجعية، والإنسانية والعالمية، ومن ثم: من هم أعداء الوحدة، في الداخل، والخارج. بالإضافة إلى ما جرى من مقارنة مشوقة بين سلبيات التجزئة القطرية وإيجابيات الوطن العربي المستظل براية الوحدة.
