تعتبر مادة الصولفيج الأساسى الأول فى التعليم الموسيقى الجاد ويعتبر كتاب الشامل فى الصولفيج ( نهج دالكروز ) موسوعة قيمة لكل من يهتم بمادة الصولفيج فى المعاهد والكليات الموسيقية المتخصصة . ويحتوى الكتاب على ستة موضوعات صولفائية على نهج العالم الموسيقى التربوى إميل جاك دالكروز (1865- 1950) هى : 1- المقامات والسلالم 2- المسافات 3- الزخرفة 4- التآلفات الثلاثية والرباعية 5- الكروماتية 6- التحويلات ويتبع كلا منها تدريب نظرى وعملى هذا بالاضافة غلى عدة بنود منها ما يهتم بأسلوب امتحانات القدرات الموسيقية أو الاهتمام بقوة الملاحظة وتنمية الذاكرة والاستماع الداخلى والابتكار والتخليل ومنها أيضا ما يهتم بدراسة الايقاع كما أن بند الأحان يحتوى على ألحان دراسية وعالمية وشعبية من بلاد مختلفة وقد أحتوى الكتاب ايضا على ما يعرف بالطولفيج الهارمونى لتمرينات من ثلاثة أصوات ضيقة وواسعة وايضا لاربعة أصوات كما اشتمل على تمرينات تملى على الطلاب عن طريق الأرقام الرومانية ذات تحويلات قريبة وبعيدة وقد تضمن الكتاب ايضا كيفية تناول المسافات والتألفات بأسلوب يتواءم والاتجاهات الموسيقية الحديثة فى النصف الأول من القرن العشرين لاستاذ الصولفيج الالمانى ثم اختتم الكتاب بإعطاء فكرة عن كيفية تدوين بعض عناصر الموسيقى ( الإيقاع - التظليل - الهارمونى - " كلاستر " ) فى النصف الثانى من القرن العشرين . والكتاب فى صورته الحالية يعتبر مرجعا شاملا من أربعة فصول أعد وصنف بطريقة خاصة من أجل إعطاء رؤية واسعة عريضة لآسلوب صياغة التمرينات الصولفائية من إيقاع وألحان وتدريب وسمع لبعض البلاد الأوربية والأمريكية والروسية وغيرها بالاضافة غلى تمرينات شخصية مبتكرة مؤلفة خصيصا لاستكمال هذا الشمول . ونأمل ان يثرى هذا الكتاب المكتبة الموسيقية العربية .
