لما كانت المعرفة أكثر أهمية وحيوية للمجتمعات والمنظمات بأنواعها المختلفة، فإنها ترتبط بالمنظومات التفاعلية التي تجعل من التطوير مهمة مستديمة وعمل دائم للمنظمات، ومن ثم فإن هذه المنظومات هي التي تشكل طبيعة ومضمون المعرفة وتجعل منها الأساس لإنجاز أي عمل، سواء كان في المدخلات أم العمليات أم المخرجات، ومن هنا فإن جودة المنظومة وسلامة عملها يصبح أمراً غاية في الأهمية، فمن يمتلك المعرفة في الوقت المناسب بالجودة المناسبة يمتلك القدرة على العمل وإغتنام الفرص وإستغلال الوقت.
من هنا، يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى بيان أهمية المعرفة والبحث العلمي للإسهام للفت الأنظار إلى موضوع غاية في الأهمية تعميقاً لوجوب إدراكها من أجل توفير جميع المستلزمات المتعلقة بها، إضافة إلى التسهيل على الدارسين الراغبين بمواصلة البحث فيها بالرجوع إلى بعض المصادر التي اعتمدت في بعض فصول هذا الكتاب.
حيث تم تقسيم الكتاب إلى سبعة فصول كما يلي: الفصل الأول، تم الحديث عن المعرفة بشكل عام من حيث مفهومها وأنواعها وأصنافها وأهميتها، وفي الفصل الثاني، تم تناول إدارة المعرفة والتعرف على ماهية الإدارة ووظائفها، أما في الفصل الثالث، فقد تم الحديث عن مفهوم التعلم والعلم التنظيمي والمنظمات المتعلقة والمنظمات ذات التعلم المستمر، وتناول في الفصل الرابع موضوع الحوافز المادية والمعنوية نظراً لأهميتها في إستنفار الطاقات المولدة للمعرفة.
وفي الفصل الخامس، تم التعرض إلى الإبداع كونه من العمليات العقلية الخلاقة، وفي الفصل السادس، تم التعرض إلى موضوع غاية في الأهمية على المستويين القومي والمحلي وهو هجرة الكفاءات ونزيف الأدمغة من الوطن الأم إلى البلدان المتقدمة نظراً لما تتبعه هذه الدول من سياسات جاذبة للكفاءات، وأخيراً، الفصل السابع خصص لمناقشة الأخلاقيات وأخلاقيات المعرفة بشكل خاص لبيان أهميتها في العمل المعرفي بغاياته ووسائله.
