كثر الإنكار على أهل الفيضة التجانية المهديين إلى نهج الرشاد، وما هو إلا الإنكار على شيخهم الهادي الممد للعباد، منذ ظهور هذه الفيضة التجانية الأحمدية المحمدية الإبراهيمية الحنيفية، بمحض فضل الحضرة الرحمانية، فتصاممت عنهم مليا وإن كان ما يأتون به شيئاً فرياً، لوكني من جملة حزب الفيضة، جعلنا الله ممن لا يساوي الأقطاب منهم البيضة، مخافة الرد عني والانتصار للنفس، مكتفياً بمدافعة حضرة القدس، فهي تدافع عن نفسها وعن المؤمنين بها؛ جعلنا الله من عبيدها المستندين لها، إلى أن مر برهة من الزمان وهم على ما هم عليه الإنكار والزور والبهتان، فسنح لي أن أجمع شيئاً من كلام الأئمة الأجلاء في بيان مذاهب الأصفياء، فاستعنت بالله تعالى وشرعت في تأليف هذا الكتاب الميمون، مستمداً من فيض حضرة شمس الدين مولانا التجاني صاحب المقام المكين، إذ الرد عليهم رد عن الشيخ الختم التجاني إذ هو صاحبها ومفيضها على الأصحاب بواسطة جده من حضرة رب الأرباب، فصار فرضاً على واجباً لكوني خديماً لذلك الجناب.
