وفي هذه الطبعة من هذا الكتاب، يتم تسليط الضوء على بعضٍ من أعلام الجزيرة العربية، خلال أكثر من قرنين من الزمان، حيث تم توثيق ما يقرب من (1200) علمًا من أعلام الجزيرة العربية، ملوك وأمراء وزعماء عشائر وأعيان مدن، وغيرهم من العثمانيين، الذين عملوا في مناصب حكومية في بلاد الجزيرة العربية. ولم يفُت الباحث أن ينشر بعضًا من تلك الوثائق، إذ ضمَّ الكتاب حوالي (127) وثيقة. يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى إيراد مداخل الأعلام الذين ورد ذكرهم بغية تسهيل وصول الباحثين إليها، من خلال وثائق الأرشيف العثماني، التي تتجاوز في مجملها (150) مليون وثيقة.
