عضو اتحاد الكتاب، ونقابة الصحفيين، والجمعية الفلسفية.
اشترك في كثير من الندوات الأدبية والمهرجانات الشعرية.
نشر عشرات المقالات المؤلفة والمترجمة في الشعر والنقد الأدبي والفلسفة والجمال
في الدوريات المصرية والعربية.

المحاضرات التي ألقيتها في علم الجمال بجامعتي عين شمس والمنيا وكلية البنات تشكل الخيط الأساسي الذي تضعه هذه الدراسات وقد صنفتها على شكل محاور رئيسية هي: مقدمة عن رسالة علم الجمال ومنهج الدراسة الجمالية ومكونات العمل الفني، ومشكلة علاقة الفن بالواقع عند أفلاطون وأرسطو ولوكاتش وطه حسين، ونماذج من فلسفة الفن والأدب عند كانت وشيلر وهيجل وسارتر ثم ملحق عن الانعكاس الجمالي عند لوكاتش، وبعد ما لمسته من اهتمام متزايد بالقضايا الجمالية تفضلت دار الكلمة مشكورة بإصدار هذه الطبعة الجديدة.
