عماني الجنسية، من مواليد العام ١٩٥٤م.
عاش مغترباً بين دول الخليج ثم في سورية والعراق والصين واليمن، خلال الفترة من ١٩٦٤ إلى العام ١٩٧١م.
كان من بين المعتقلين السياسيين في الفترة من ١٩٧٢م إلى العام ١٩٨٥م.
عمل بوزارة الصحة منذ العام ١٩٨٦م إلى اللحظة، وتدرج في وظائفها الإدارية إلى مستوى وظيفة «الخبير».
له العديد من المقالات السياسية والأدبية المنشور بعضها في الصحافة العمانية، وغير المنشور كالوارد بعضها في هذا الكتاب.
يعمل حالياً محاضراً غير متفرغ بجامعة نزوى لمساقاة (مهارات الحياة والتعلم).

كثيرون همُ البشر، كتّاباً كباراً كانوا أو حتى أناساً عاديين، من يتوارى، بشخصه وفكره، خلف الكلمات التي يقولها... من يلمّح ولا يصرّح... من يقول كلمة ويقصد عكسها والنقيض، تقية أو خوفاً، ربما، من تداعيات كلماته الصريحة عند الطرف الآخر، أو رغبة في السير على منهج "خالف تُعرف" ليلفت الإنتباه ويقول للناس: "أنا موجود".
على أن هذه النزعة المغالبة المكابرة - على ما فيها من سلبيات متبدية - رائعة، إن لم تكن مطلوبة في الفكر، فَهُم بهذا التواري والمواربة، يتيحون لنا فرصه لا تُعوّض للإبحار نحو الشواطئ المتوارية خلف الأفق، والغوص في الأغوار اللامتناهية للنفس البشرية، باحثين ومنقبين عن كنوزها النفيسة المخبوءة في الأعماق الماورائية واللامرئية، فنحصل، وإن بعد مشقة وعناء، على بعض من غنائم الفكر وجواهره المتألقة البديعة، التي قد تُشكل إضافة لرصيد المعرفة والثقافة الإنسانية.
ومن هذا المنطلق كانت هذه الحوارات الجادة مع المتوارين خلف كلماتهم في المقالات التي سأعرض موجزها في توطئة هذا الكتاب، وتفاصيلها في متنه؛ وأنا على ثقة بأن القارئ الجاد سيجد فيه المتعة والفسحة والفائدة، وقد يجدني أنا ذاتي متوارياً خلف بعض الكلمات، فيكون عليه بالتالي أن يبدأ معي رحلة البحث والتنقيب!!... علنا نساهم بهذه المناظرات في إثراء مكتباتنا الثقافية.
