"وماذا لو قلت لك أبقَ لأجلي... لأجل كل هذا الحنين... وهذا التجلي... لأمس غريب لم تقترفه... وغدٍ قريب يمكن أن يرانا معاً ولا يختنق... الآن قد صرتُ أجيد الحياة... أجيد التدفق... فاضت خطاي... ولم نلتق... في غير الرحيل... الآن قد صرت أجيد الرحيل... إلى حيث أريد... أجيد الغرق... الحرب قامت عمّا قريب وليس لي وغلّها غير التلاشي... في عقر سرّك المحزون منذ النهاية التي آذنت بكل البدايات... القميئة: قد لا يشبه البدايات... دمك... وقد تستحقه... فكل البدايات دامية وكل النهاية بذيئة... ماذا لو قلت لك... أن الحياة قد تستحق... باقة زئبق... وقهوة مرّة... قد تجلو في ثغرك وقد لا تستحق... كل هذا الغياب... وهذا الرحيل... وهذا التعب... وقد تستحق... ما زالت أشبه حواء... في قصر النظر وحول النظر!... وماذا لو قلت أكثر... أحبك أكثر من الزمن... وأرى من بردك شذرات التشظي... وإعجاب كن".
"يرقد في القلب... ولا يستفيق... هكذا يحب أن يبقى... حب لا يستحيل إلى حكاية، لا يشبه الموت... ولن يشبه الحياة... معلقاً بقصيدة لا تُقرأ... كيف تقرأ الحكايا؟! قبل أو... بعد وكيف تنتهي فيتا... شهوة القراءة"... قهوة مرّة ورشفات تحرك حزناً... تثير ألماً يفيض بعد رشفات ما بعد الحزن شجناً يتشكل صوراً قصائد وكلمات هي بوح نفسي وإسترسالات شاعر مضى بعيداً خارج حدود القوافي والنغمات.
