إن "يحدث فى مصر الآن" هجائية سياسية ممتازة تنبع من القرية المصرية موضوعاً وشكلاً وتثبت أن الرواية السياسية تستطيع أن تكون ضاحكة حيناً، ساخرة حيناً، دون أن تفقد شيئا من جديتها، بل لعلها تزيد من عمق هذه الجدية بالتناول الذى يبدو سهلاً ولكنه لا يلبث أن يغوص إلى أعماق القارئ.
