وابتدأ هذه الرسالة بإسم الله تعالى اللطيف، لأنه من أعظم أبواب الفرج؛ ولألطاف فيه مخفية؛ وإغاثة رحمانية، ولشهرته وسرعة إجابته، كما قال الشيخ أحمد بن علي البوني في "شمس المعارف الكبرى": هذا الإسم سريع الإجابة لتفريج الكروب في أوقات الشدائد، ويصلح ذاكراً للمسجونين والمأسورين، ومن اشتد به مرض، ومن كان مقهوراً تحت سلطان جائر.
