إن النكاح معين على الدين ومهين للشياطين وحصن دون عدو الله حصين، وسبب للتكثير الذي به مباهاة سيد المرسلين لسائر النبيين، فما أحراه بأن تتحرى بأسبابه وتحفظ سننه وآدابه وتشرح مقاصده وآرابه وتفصل فصوله وأبوابه.في هذا الكتاب كلمة يهمس بها في إذن كل شاب وفتاة يتطلع إلى بناء الأسرة الإسلامية السعيدة، التي تتخذ من كتاب ربها وسنة رسولها صلى الله عليه وسلم منهجاً وسبيلاً، وإلى كل عروسين تبدأ بهما مركب الحياة في السير نحو الآخرة، فهو إلى الشباب بحديث الشباب.
ولقد قسم الكتاب إلى 14 فصلاً، وكان المرجع الأساسي فيه -علاوة عن أمهات كتب التراث الإسلامي في تفسير وحديث وفقه ولغة -عدة كتب أهمها: باب آداب النكاح من كتاب "إحياء علوم الدين" للإمام حجة الإسلام أبي حامد الغزالي، وكتاب "زاد المعاد في هدي خير العباد" للإمام حجة الإسلام أبي حامد الغزالي، وكتاب "زاد المعاد في هدي خير العباد" للإمام العلامة ابن قيم الجوزية، وبعض كتبه الأخرى كذلك، ثم كتاب "تحفة العروس" القيم الذي نشره الأستاذ الشيخ "مجدي بن منصور بن سيد الشوري" على صفحات الإنترنت، وقد اعتمد فيه بدوره على الكتاب المشهور بنفس الاسم أيضاً، أي كتاب: "تحفة العروس" للأستاذ "محمود مهدي الإستانبولي، الذي كان رائداً وسباقاً في التأليف في هذا الموضوع الهام، والذي جمع فيه صنوفاً منوعة من العلم الشرعي المفيد فيما يتعلق بموضوع الزواج في الإسلام، حتى أصبح مرجعاً هاماً لكل شاب وفتاة يقدمان على الزواج، مع إضافات كثيرة وترتيب، ومباحث منوعة وصريحة، فجاء هذا الكتاب جامعاً في موضوعه، متكاملاً ومفيداً في موضوع الزواج في الإسلام، وكل ما يدور حوله من أحكام ومسائل، لا سيما ما يتعلق بسبل ترسيخ الود بين الزوجين، وحقوق كل طرف على الآخر، وكل ما يتعلق بموضوع العلاقة الجنسية بينهما، باعتبارها إحدى أهم أركان العلاقة الزوجية، وذات تأثير مباشر على ازدهارها ودوامها.
