هو : محمد بن خطير الدين بن بازيد بن خواجة العطار ،، المولود 906 هجرية ، أخذ طريق التصوف والزهد ، عن شيخه * ظهور الحاج حضور - سلطان الموحدين - واعتكف للعبادة فى جبل * قلعة الجتار * بالهند ، بمدة 13 سنة ، وأربعة أشهر ، وبعدها قام لتأليف كتابه ( الجواهر الخمس ) وكان عمره آنذاك ( 23 سنة ) ، ثم قام بمراجعته وعمره ( 50 عاما ) ، ويتكون الكتاب من الآتى: الجوهر الأول : عبادة العابدين .
الجوهر الثانى : زهد الزاهدين .
الجوهر الثالث : دعوة الداعين .
الجوهر الرابع : أذكار الذاكرين .
الجوهر الخامس : ورثة الحق ، وأعمال المحققين .
