وأقدم هذا الكتاب في إطار سلسلة كتب لتعليم فن الرسم أولها كتاب الرسم بالقلم الرصاص ثم هذا الكتاب الذي يعتبر الكتاب الثاني ثم كتاب كيف ترسم كفنان محترف وكتاب فن الأسكتيش وكتاب فن البورتريه وكتاب فن الكاريكاتير وكتاب تعليم الرسم للأطفال وكل كتاب من هذه الكتب يتناول تعليم فن الرسم من زاوية معينة، ويحتوي هذا الكتاب على عشرة فصول يتناول الفصل الأول الشروط الواجب توافرها في الرسم الناجح، أما الفصل الثاني فيتناول خدعة البعد الثالث والأدوات التي يمكن أن يستخدمها الرسام في عمل هذه الخدعة ويتناول الفصل الثالث والرابع والخامس قواعد الرسم المنظوري أما الفصل السادس فيتناول نظرية الألوان كأحد أهم عناصر الرسم الناجح، ويتناول الفصل السابع والثامن والتاسع تطبيقات على كيفية رسم إنسان والفصل الأخير يتناول المهارات المتقدمة في الرسم.
