كانت التنظيمات السّنيّة أكبر الخاسرين من زوال المقاومة الفلسطينية واستبدالها بهيمنة التنظيمات الشيعيّة. وجاء اتّافق الطائف ليعوّض من الانحسار في النفوذ السّنّي ما بعد الاجتياح الإسرائيلي ، وليعطي السُّنّة رصيدًا سياسيًا قويًا نسبيًّا، رعته السعودية وكان رمزه رفيق الحريري، ولكن بوصايةٍ سوريّة.
شكّلت لحظة اغتيال الرئيس الحريري في العام 2005 ضربةً للتوازن القائم وللاستقرار ولل كانت التنظيمات السّنيّة أكبر الخاسرين من زوال المقاومة الفلسطينية واستبدالها بهيمنة التنظيمات الشيعيّة. وجاء اتّافق الطائف ليعوّض من الانحسار في النفوذ السّنّي ما بعد الاجتياح الإسرائيلي ، وليعطي السُّنّة رصيدًا سياسيًا قويًا نسبيًّا، رعته السعودية وكان رمزه رفيق الحريري، ولكن بوصايةٍ سوريّة.
شكّلت لحظة اغتيال الرئيس الحريري في العام 2005 ضربةً للتوازن القائم وللاستقرار وللصيغة التوافقيّة التي كانت سائدة في لبنان بعد العام 1990.
فقد كان اغتياله أقوى زلزالٍ في عملية التوازن بين السُّنّة والشعية، مما أدّى إلى إنهاء الإشراف السوري على بُنية الحكم التي كانت سائدة حتى ذلك الوقت.
