لقد أن الأوان لإيجاد صيغة جديدة للمصالحة بين الإيمان والعلم، أو بين تراثنا الإسلامي العظيم والعقل كما فعل ابن رشد في كتابه الشهير "فضل المقال فيما بين الشريعة والحكمة من الاتصال". والحكمة هنا تعني الفلسفة. "فالعلم والإيمان لا يمكن أن يكونا خصمين إلا في النفوس المريضة" إن انتصار هذا التيار الوسطي العقلاني هو الذي ستنقذنا من براثن التطرف في هذا الاتجاه أو ذاك. وقد لا يتحقق ق لقد أن الأوان لإيجاد صيغة جديدة للمصالحة بين الإيمان والعلم، أو بين تراثنا الإسلامي العظيم والعقل كما فعل ابن رشد في كتابه الشهير "فضل المقال فيما بين الشريعة والحكمة من الاتصال". والحكمة هنا تعني الفلسفة. "فالعلم والإيمان لا يمكن أن يكونا خصمين إلا في النفوس المريضة" إن انتصار هذا التيار الوسطي العقلاني هو الذي ستنقذنا من براثن التطرف في هذا الاتجاه أو ذاك. وقد لا يتحقق قبل سنوات كثيرة لأن الخروج من عصور الانحطاط والانغلاق أمر صعب وعسير. ولكننا سائرون على الدرب بإذن الله.
وبالتالي فإني أفرق تفريقا واضحا بين نوعين من الحداثة: الحداثة الإيمانية، والحداثة الإلحادية. ونحن العرب على مفترق طرق: فإما أن نختار الأولى، وإما الثانية.
ولكني أعتقد أننا لن نتأخر كثيراً في الاختيار. فالحادثة المؤمنة هي الأقرب إلى تراثنا العريق وشخصيتنا التاريخية. وبها يكون الفوز الأعظم في الدنيا والآخرة.
