چند متر عقبتر، طوری که آقا متوجه نشود، روی زمین نشست.
خیلی وقت بود برای آمدن به قم و دیدار آقا، لحظهشماری میکرد.
مدت کمی که گذشت، ناگهان آقا سرش را به عقب چرخاند و گفت:
«شما بیایید.»
با شتاب نزدیک شد و سلام کرد.
آقا جواب سلامش را داد و بیمقدمه گفت: «اینقدر مادرت را اذیت نکن!»
ضربان قلبش شدت گرفت. یاد آن شبی افتاد که به مادر گفته بود:
«حق ندارد با ازدواج مجددش، آبروی خانواده را ببرد»؛
و مادر فقط سکوت کرده بود...
از مسجد بالاسر که بیرون آمد، عرق سردِ پیشانیاش را با پشت دست پاک کرد.
باید خودش را زودتر به خانه میرساند و مادر را از خودش راضی میکرد.
