اليوم في عدد غير قليل من الآثار العلمية يتم التأكيد على الإعجاز العلمي في القرآن الكريم، وعلى الرغم من البريق الأخاذ الذي يسلب أنظار العامة؛ إلا أن أهل الإختصاص يتوقفون عند جهود بعض من يسلك هذا السبيل، ذلك لأنه غالباً ما يكون (( قولاً جزافاً غير مستند على أساس علمي أو تاريخي فالأمر الذي يكون موضع التأويل لا يعدو في الغالب أن يكون إشارة لطيفة في القرآن الكريم لظاهرة كونية طبيعية هذا إذا صح تخريج المؤول لمعناها، وليس من الصواب في شيء الزج بتلك الإشارة الكريمة إلى تحميلها فوق كل ما تحتمله ووضعها موضع التسابق مع أي مبحث علمي مفصل هذا فضلاً عن أن المؤول يستحضر بعض فصول التاريخ العلمي الحديثة منذ ما سمي عصر النهضة وما بعده، غير ملتفت إلى أن المعارف البشرية كانت في عهد القرآن الكريم متضمنة ما اهتدت إليه الأمم الأولى في الحضارات السابقة والكلام في السبق يفتح باباً للجدل ليس من اليسير في كثير من الأحيان الإنتهاء فيه برأي.
