دائرة الطباشير القوقازية، من المسرحيات المهمة التي ألفها بريخت وهي من المسرح الملحمي، الذي هو نقيضا للدراما التقليدية، سميت بهذا الاسم لأن القاضي عمد في حكمه إلى رسم دائرة بالطباشير، ووضع الطفل فيها، وطلب من كلا السيدتين جذبه، ومَنْ تتمكن من إخراجه من الدائرة تظفر به وتكون أما له.
- هذه المسرحية من المسرح الملحمي الذي يرمي لخدمة الإنسان بجانب رفاهيته، كما أنها تقوم على البن دائرة الطباشير القوقازية، من المسرحيات المهمة التي ألفها بريخت وهي من المسرح الملحمي، الذي هو نقيضا للدراما التقليدية، سميت بهذا الاسم لأن القاضي عمد في حكمه إلى رسم دائرة بالطباشير، ووضع الطفل فيها، وطلب من كلا السيدتين جذبه، ومَنْ تتمكن من إخراجه من الدائرة تظفر به وتكون أما له.
- هذه المسرحية من المسرح الملحمي الذي يرمي لخدمة الإنسان بجانب رفاهيته، كما أنها تقوم على البناء الدائري بدلا من قالب المسرحية الهرمي، ربط بريخت بين القضية الواقعية المعاشة وهي قضية الواد المتنازع عليه بقضية محكية قصة الطفل، فاشتملت المسرحية على أكثر من حكاية، فقصة الوادي أدت لرواية قصة أخرى هي قصة الطفل المتنازع عليه بين الأم ومربيته، يجعل بريخت كل واحد من العناصر المكونة لمسرحه لا يكتفي بإحداث تجديد بل يعمد لإحداث تغييرا كليا. وترتكز على وجود الراوي الذي يعلق على الأحداث، وهو هنا راوي مغني، ويطالبهم بأن يكونوا رواة القصة وأبطالها في آن، فلا يجعل المتفرج على الحياد بل يجب أن يفكر بما يراه دون أن يندمج فيه، وهو ما يسمى التغريب، وهدم الحاجز بين الـممثل والجمهور وإشراك الأخير في العملية الـمسرحية.
