إن طبيعة الزمن قائمة على تتالي الصور العقلية على شاشة الوعي، سواء تتالت عبر حواس الجسد أو عبر حواس الباطن. ولولا هذا التتالي للصور العقلية لما تواجد الحسّ بالزمن.
الفكر أداة الوعي. الإدراك الحسّي للظواهر هو نتيجة الإنطباعات التي تتوالد في الوعي بفعل تعاقب الصور العقلية. تعداد هذه الصور العقلية يقرِّر مدة الظواهر التي ندعوها بالزمن أو الوقت. علماً أنه أينما توجد حركة، فالزمن إن طبيعة الزمن قائمة على تتالي الصور العقلية على شاشة الوعي، سواء تتالت عبر حواس الجسد أو عبر حواس الباطن. ولولا هذا التتالي للصور العقلية لما تواجد الحسّ بالزمن.
الفكر أداة الوعي. الإدراك الحسّي للظواهر هو نتيجة الإنطباعات التي تتوالد في الوعي بفعل تعاقب الصور العقلية. تعداد هذه الصور العقلية يقرِّر مدة الظواهر التي ندعوها بالزمن أو الوقت. علماً أنه أينما توجد حركة، فالزمن منخرط فيها. والحركة تُقاس بتعبير الوحدة الزمنية المتعارف عليها في كل الأعمال العلمية، وهي الثانية. هذا وأينما يوجد تغيُّر، فلا مفرّ للزمن من الوجود… وهكذا ما من طريقة للإحساس بالزمن إلا عبر تغيّرات الأشياء في محيطنا… وما من طريقة لوعي أسرار الزمن ومفاعيله إلاّ في وعي دواخل نفوسنا.
صحيح أن الزمن حركة إيقاعية في الفضاء… إلاّ أن الفكرة التي تقول إنّ الإيقاع يتضمّن قياساً محدّداً للزمن استناداً إلى وجود علاقات رياضية محدّدة بين مختلف أنواع الإيقاعات ومقاييس الزمن، لا تنطبق مقاييسها حتى على كوكب الأرض! ليس لأن مقياس الثانية غير دقيق بما فيه الكفاية… بل لأن المقاييس المادية لا تستطيع قياس الأبعاد غير المادية في الفضاء من منطلق الآية الكريمة “إن يوماً عند ربِّك كألف سنة مما تعدّون”.
