بعد معرفة أنه محلّل شيفرات دانمركي؛ تكشف التحقيقات التي تلت؛ صلة محيّرة بين صاحب الجثة ومخطوطة من العصور الوسطى تدعى "كتاب فلايتي".
بعد مدة ليست بالطويلة تكتشف جثة أخرى على الجزيرة الصغيرة. ولكن ه قرب جزيرة مهجورة على شاطئ أيسلندا الغربي في العام 1960، ينشر اقتراب فصل الربيع حياة جديدة في البرية. ولكن، بالنسبة لصيادي حيوان الفقمة الثلاثة الذين اكتشفوا جثة على شاطئ الجزيرة!
بعد معرفة أنه محلّل شيفرات دانمركي؛ تكشف التحقيقات التي تلت؛ صلة محيّرة بين صاحب الجثة ومخطوطة من العصور الوسطى تدعى "كتاب فلايتي".
بعد مدة ليست بالطويلة تكتشف جثة أخرى على الجزيرة الصغيرة. ولكن هذه المرة تمّ تشويه ظهر الضحية بما يعرف بنسر الدم وذلك بناءً لعادات قبائل الفايكينغ القديمة. في تلك الأثناء يشعر "جارتان" ممثل قاضي المنطقة، والذي أرسل للتحقيق في الجريمة، بأنه ينغمس في عالم مظلم وخطر من الرموز والأساطير والمنظمات السرية بحثاً عن القاتل.
إنها رواية ممتعة ستجعلك تبحث عن لغز جزيرة فلايتي حتى النهاية، حتى تكتشف بعد طول عناء إنها أحجية غير محلولة، وترتبط بلغز قديم.. قديم جداً!
