مناسبات ایران و ترکیه تا جایی که به روابط ایران و عثمانی مربوط میشود، در یک دوره طولانی و در مرحله بعدی به صورت روابط ایران و جمهوری ترکیه در سده اخیر، مناسبات ناشناختهای نیست. آنچه در این میان کمتر موضوع بررسی بوده، مقطع بینابینی این دو دوره است؛ یعنی مناسبات ایران و ترکیه در فاصله فروپاشی عثمانی در پایان جنگ جهانی اول تا برآمدن یک نظام جمهوری در آن کشور. در این دوره گذ مناسبات ایران و ترکیه تا جایی که به روابط ایران و عثمانی مربوط میشود، در یک دوره طولانی و در مرحله بعدی به صورت روابط ایران و جمهوری ترکیه در سده اخیر، مناسبات ناشناختهای نیست. آنچه در این میان کمتر موضوع بررسی بوده، مقطع بینابینی این دو دوره است؛ یعنی مناسبات ایران و ترکیه در فاصله فروپاشی عثمانی در پایان جنگ جهانی اول تا برآمدن یک نظام جمهوری در آن کشور. در این دوره گذار، مناسبات دو کشور، هم شاهد تداوم پارهای از مسائل و مشکلات برجای مانده از ادوار پیش بود و هم به وجود آمدن مجموعهای از مسائل و دشواریهای جدید. نگارنده در پژوهش حاضر تلاش کرده تا این موضوعات را مورد بررسی قرار دهد.
