ويعتبر هذا الكتاب من الكتب المتميزة في الأخلاق والتي يعتمد عليها جمع غفير من الذين يدرسون ويُدّرسون الأخلاق وقد ذكر المؤلف رحمه الله فيه كثير من المواضيع الفقهية والعقائدية والتاريخية والأدبية، مع العلم بأنّ مادته الأصلية هي الأخلاق.
