يناقش هذا الكتاب المكون من قسمين رئيسيين، مسار الثورة السورية ومستقبلها، حيث يستعرض في القسم الأول منه وضع الثورة السورية بعد عامين ونصف من انطلاقها، ويحاول من خلال مجموعة من الأوراق البحثية الإجابة على عدة تساؤلات حول المسار الانتقالي للثورة السورية، وما إذا كان من الممكن أن تتجنب سوريا الانزلاق إلى مسار شمولي؟ وإلى أي مدى تقترب سوريا من احتمالية عودة النظام الديكتاتوري. يناقش هذا الكتاب المكون من قسمين رئيسيين، مسار الثورة السورية ومستقبلها، حيث يستعرض في القسم الأول منه وضع الثورة السورية بعد عامين ونصف من انطلاقها، ويحاول من خلال مجموعة من الأوراق البحثية الإجابة على عدة تساؤلات حول المسار الانتقالي للثورة السورية، وما إذا كان من الممكن أن تتجنب سوريا الانزلاق إلى مسار شمولي؟ وإلى أي مدى تقترب سوريا من احتمالية عودة النظام الديكتاتوري. أو التحول الديمقراطي؟
القسم الثاني من الكتاب يعتبر بمثابة “ملحق وثائقي”، إذ يتناول أهم وثائق الثورة السورية، ومنها بيان تأسيس المجلس الوطني السوري، الوثيقة التأسيسية لهيئة التنسيق الوطني، عهد وميثاق جماعة الإخوان المسلمين في سوريا، وثيقة العهد الوطني لسوريا المستقبل، وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2118، وغيرها من الوثائق التي تؤرخ للوضع في سوريا على مدار عامين وأكثر من الثورة.
الكتاب من تقديم وتحرير المفكر والباحث السوري ياسين الحاج صالح، وشارك في كتابة أوراقه أحمد حسو، أكرم البني، أنور البني، ورضوان زيادة.
