هذا الكتاب يتضمن دراسة تاريخ الأكراد في القرنين 10-11م من زاوية تبيان الأساسيات التاريخية للحداث الشديدة والأحوال الاجتماعية – السياسية والاقتصادية المعاصرة لنا بشكل علمي دقيق.
موضوع الكتاب عصري جداً ليس من ناحية تأطير مراحل تطور التاريخ الكردي فحسب، بل عند تثمين المسالة الكردية الحالية في بعض بلدان الشرق الأدنى موضوعياً، كذلك تسليط الضوء على جذورها التاريخية. وفي الوقت ذات هذا الكتاب يتضمن دراسة تاريخ الأكراد في القرنين 10-11م من زاوية تبيان الأساسيات التاريخية للحداث الشديدة والأحوال الاجتماعية – السياسية والاقتصادية المعاصرة لنا بشكل علمي دقيق.
موضوع الكتاب عصري جداً ليس من ناحية تأطير مراحل تطور التاريخ الكردي فحسب، بل عند تثمين المسالة الكردية الحالية في بعض بلدان الشرق الأدنى موضوعياً، كذلك تسليط الضوء على جذورها التاريخية. وفي الوقت ذاته، فإن لهذه المسألة اهمية استثنائية في الدراسات الأرمنية الشاملة، لأن الأرمن والأكراد شعبان متجاوران منذ القديم، يتمازج ويتصالب تاريخهما في مسائل شتى.
تضم مراحل الدراسة لتاريخ أكثر من مائة عام، بدءاً من النصف الأول للقرن العاشر ونهاية القرن الحادي عشر، أي حقبة هيمنة السلاجقة الكبار، وتتطابق تماماً مع تقسيمات تاريخ بلدان وشعوب الشرقين الأدنى والأوسط.
لكن هذه الدراسة عملياً هي التجربة الأولى في علم الاستشراق بسبب تساؤلاتها ومسائلها الأساسية التي تطرحها لدراسة تاريخ الأكراد في حقبة الخلافة العباسية. وغالبية المصادر في هذا الشأن تخص الأحداث العسكرية ـ السياسية التي انعكست رئيسياً في المصادر التاريخية والجغرافية وغيرها في اللغة العربية.
