حين أقول" قراءة انسانية للدين" أقصد فهم الانسان للدين والتديّن وفق ما تقتضيه أبعاد انسانيته. فالدين للإنسان وليس لله. إنه وليد آلام الإنسان وحاجاته من ناحية، وصنيعة التجارب الدينية للإنسان المحتاج صاحب المعاناة من ناحية ثانية، حتى يخفّف من آلامه ويشبع حاجاته. ولا يستطيع الانسان أن يفهم دينه بما يتناقض مع شطر من انسانيته وأبعادها، كأن يتناقض مع الفلسفة او الحقوق أو القِيَم حين أقول" قراءة انسانية للدين" أقصد فهم الانسان للدين والتديّن وفق ما تقتضيه أبعاد انسانيته. فالدين للإنسان وليس لله. إنه وليد آلام الإنسان وحاجاته من ناحية، وصنيعة التجارب الدينية للإنسان المحتاج صاحب المعاناة من ناحية ثانية، حتى يخفّف من آلامه ويشبع حاجاته. ولا يستطيع الانسان أن يفهم دينه بما يتناقض مع شطر من انسانيته وأبعادها، كأن يتناقض مع الفلسفة او الحقوق أو القِيَم مثلاً...
على الضد من هذه القراءة، تقف القراءة غير الانسانية، أو فوق الإنسانية، للدين، القائلة بأن الدين هو مجموعة من الأحكام الغيبية المتعالية على عقل الإنسان، والتي نزلت من الله على البشر... معنى هذا التصوّر أن الإنسان، كما ظهر على مَرّ التاريخ، وأفصح عن أبعاد وجوده، وكما تطورت ثقافته على مَرّ الزمن، شيئ، والدين شيئ آخر... وهذا يعني الانقطاع بين الانسان والله... ويغدو الوحي أمر غيبي، يدخل عالم الإنسان من عالم الغيب، فيغيّر عالمه ويفنيه، ويُسقط كل المعارف الأخرى، ولا يقرّ معرفة لم تأتِ من الغيب.
في القراءة غير الانسانية تضطرب معايير العالم الانساني، ولا تبقى قيمة للعلم، ولا للفلسفة، ولا للحقوق، ولا للقيم الانسانية... في مثل هذه الحالة يشطب الدين على الانسان... بهذا المعنى يصبح الدين وادياً من الظّلُمات ليس من اليسير الخروج منه.
أعلم أن البعض يعدّون القراءة الانسانيّة للدين نفياً لألوهية الله... هؤلاء لا يبتبّهون إلى حقيقة ان الإنسان كيفما تحدّث عن الله وصفاته فلن يستطيع ذلك إلا بمفاهيم إنسانيّة.
