يحوز الإملاء العربي مكانة كبيرة في الكتابة العربية، إذ يمثل حجر الزاوية في فهم المكتوب وعرضه بصورة صحيحة وواضحة. ولما كان كثير من غير المتخصصين أو من الذين تقتضي مهام وظائفهم صحة الإملاء وسلامة التركيب وسلاسة العبارة، فقد جاءت هذه النبذة الميسرة في قواعد الإملاء. وقد توخيت في تناول المسائل بقواعد الإملاء السهولة والوضوح، معرضا عن كل ما يثار فيه خلاف، رغبة في التيسير، وكي تتوحد أساليب الكتابة، ما يجعلها قريبة من نفوس طالبيها. وقد اقتضت طبيعة هذا العمل أن أتناول في هذه الدراسة عددا من الموضوعات على النحو التالي: 1- مواضع همزة الوصل. 2- الهمزة المتوسطة. 3- الهمزة المتطرفة. 4- زيادة بعض الأحرف. 5- الألف اللينة. 6- مواضع همزة القطع. 7- الهمزة الشاذة. 8- فتح همزة إن وكسرها. 9- حذف بعض الأحرف.
