حلقه ی گمشده تاریخ نگاری سازمان مجاهدین خلق پس از پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی و خصوصا بعد از آغاز فاز مسلحانه ، پرداختن به جایگاه و نقش بخش ویژه نظامی سازمان مجاهدین خلق در عملیاتهای تروریستی سازمان است. بخش ویژه ی نظامی گرچه از اعضا و کادرهای رده بالای مجاهدین و نیروهای زبده ی عملیاتی تشکیل شده بود ، ولی به صورت خاص ترورهای مسئولین نظام را دنبال نمیکرد ، بلکه به مثابه بازوی اطلا حلقه ی گمشده تاریخ نگاری سازمان مجاهدین خلق پس از پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی و خصوصا بعد از آغاز فاز مسلحانه ، پرداختن به جایگاه و نقش بخش ویژه نظامی سازمان مجاهدین خلق در عملیاتهای تروریستی سازمان است. بخش ویژه ی نظامی گرچه از اعضا و کادرهای رده بالای مجاهدین و نیروهای زبده ی عملیاتی تشکیل شده بود ، ولی به صورت خاص ترورهای مسئولین نظام را دنبال نمیکرد ، بلکه به مثابه بازوی اطلاعاتی - عملیاتی مرکزیت ، ماموریتهای خاص و ویژه ای را دنبال می نمود که در انحصار خودش قرار داشت. همین بخش بود که عملیات غم انگیزی تحت عنوان عملیات مهندسی و شکنجه ی دردناک پاسداران را رقم زد
