الطبقة الأولى: من المهاجرين والأنصار أهل بدر
الطبقة الثانية: من المهاجرين والأنصار ممن لم يشهد بدراً ولهم إسلام قديم وقد هاجر عامتهم إلى أرض الحبشة وشهدوا أُحداً وما بعدها من المشاهد

الطبقة الرابعة: من الصحابة ممن أسلم عند فتح مكة وما بعد ذلك
الطبقة الخامسة: فيمن قُبض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهم أحدث الأسنان
