يتناول هذا الكتاب عرضًا تفصيليًا وتحليليًا لأهم المصطلحات الفنية وسنة ظهورها, وخاصة التي ظهرت في فترة ما بعد الحداثة لوصف ثقافة هذا القرن.. ولذلك يبدأ الكتاب باستعراض تاريخي لأهم الأحداث العالمية وأهم إنجازات عالم الفن من كل عام, ثم يلي ذلك أهم المصطلحات المصاحبة لاتجاهات مابعد الحداثة وأكثرها تأثيرًا.. ثم ننتقل إلى التحليل النقدي لأهم الاتجاهات التي ظهرت من 1945 وحتى عام يتناول هذا الكتاب عرضًا تفصيليًا وتحليليًا لأهم المصطلحات الفنية وسنة ظهورها, وخاصة التي ظهرت في فترة ما بعد الحداثة لوصف ثقافة هذا القرن.. ولذلك يبدأ الكتاب باستعراض تاريخي لأهم الأحداث العالمية وأهم إنجازات عالم الفن من كل عام, ثم يلي ذلك أهم المصطلحات المصاحبة لاتجاهات مابعد الحداثة وأكثرها تأثيرًا.. ثم ننتقل إلى التحليل النقدي لأهم الاتجاهات التي ظهرت من 1945 وحتى عام 1996, وأثرها على التصوير المصري المعاصر من خلال إلقاء الضوء على أهم الفنانين لكا اتجاه مابعد حداثي وفي أى فترة ظهر هذا الاتجاه ثم تتبع تأثيره على فناني مصر. فوصف الكتاب كلاً من الفن التجميعي, والفن الفقير, والكولاج, وفن الكمبيوتر, وكتب الفنانين والفن ذي المضمون... إلخ
