Fragmentul Despre logică din Epistolele Fraților Purității marchează debutul studiului logicii din spațiul cultural arab al secolului al X-lea. El expune percepția acestui grup intelectual asupra instrumentului filosofiei și reflectă una dintre primele etape de creație în filosofia arabă după valul de traduceri din filosofia elină, prin intermediar siriac. Volumul cuprinde Fragmentul Despre logică din Epistolele Fraților Purității marchează debutul studiului logicii din spațiul cultural arab al secolului al X-lea. El expune percepția acestui grup intelectual asupra instrumentului filosofiei și reflectă una dintre primele etape de creație în filosofia arabă după valul de traduceri din filosofia elină, prin intermediar siriac. Volumul cuprinde traducerea ultimelor cinci epistole (X-XIV), din secțiunea „Ar-rasā’ilu r-riyāḍiyyatu” („Epistolele despre <științele> matematice”) a enciclopediei Rasā’il („Epistole”), după ediția lui Khairaddīn Az-Ziriklī.
