رویین پاکباز، مورخ هنر، مدرس، منتقد و نقاش برجسته معاصر است. او از آغاز دهه 1350 تدريس تاريخ هنر را در دانشكده هنرهاى زيبا آغاز كرد و از بنيانگذاران تدريس اين رشته در ايران بود. پاكباز از آن زمان تاكنون بىوقفه به تدريس تاريخ هنر، تأليف و ترجمه كتب بنيادى و پژوهش و تاريخنگارى در باب هنر ايران پرداخته است. كتب تاليفى او از جمله دائرةالمعارف هنر(1378) و نقاشى ايران از ديرباز تا امروز(1379) در زمره رویین پاکباز، مورخ هنر، مدرس، منتقد و نقاش برجسته معاصر است. او از آغاز دهه 1350 تدريس تاريخ هنر را در دانشكده هنرهاى زيبا آغاز كرد و از بنيانگذاران تدريس اين رشته در ايران بود. پاكباز از آن زمان تاكنون بىوقفه به تدريس تاريخ هنر، تأليف و ترجمه كتب بنيادى و پژوهش و تاريخنگارى در باب هنر ايران پرداخته است. كتب تاليفى او از جمله دائرةالمعارف هنر(1378) و نقاشى ايران از ديرباز تا امروز(1379) در زمره كتب درسى و مرجع رشته هنرند.
