أصل هذا الكتاب رسالة دكتوراه تقدم بها الباحث إلى قسم النحو وفقه اللغة بكلية اللغة العربية بجامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية بالرياض. وقد نوقشت الرسالة في 10/11/1426هـ وحصل الباحث على مرتبة الشرف الأولى مع التوصية بطباعة الرسالة.
وقد اشتملت الرسالة على تمهيد وقسمين :
التمهيد ، وفيه :
1- علاقة علم العقيدة بالدراسات النحوية .
2- مفهوم التوجيه الإعرابي وأسباب تعدده .

القسم الثاني : الدراسة . وتحته خمسة فصول هي :
الفصل الأول : ظهور الأثر العقدي عند المعربين ، أسبابه وطرق معرفته .
الفصل الثاني : موقف الاتجاهات العقدية من القواعد النحوية .
الفصل الثالث : موقف المعربين في توجيهاتهم من الأصول النحوية .
الفصل الرابع : مظاهر الأثر العقدي في الدرس النحوي من خلال التوجيهات الإعرابية .
الفصل الخامس : المباحث العقدية من خلال التوجيهات الإعرابية لآيات القرآن .
