لا نرى موجبا لإخفاء استنادنا إلى فـَهْمٍ للإسلام يختلف عن الكثير ممّا يكتب ويذاع حوله, سواء صدر عن ذوي الثقافة التقليدية, أو عن الدُعاة الجدد المتاجرين به, أو عن الذين يمتطونه لبلوغ أهداف سياسية - رجعية ماضوية تمييزية في كثير من الأحيان - ونرى فـَهْمَنا رغم ذلك أكث منها وفاء للإسلام في أصفى منابعه, وأوفر تغذية للروح والوجدان, وأكثر استجابة للمعقولية الحديثة, ونكاد نوقن بأن لا نرى موجبا لإخفاء استنادنا إلى فـَهْمٍ للإسلام يختلف عن الكثير ممّا يكتب ويذاع حوله, سواء صدر عن ذوي الثقافة التقليدية, أو عن الدُعاة الجدد المتاجرين به, أو عن الذين يمتطونه لبلوغ أهداف سياسية - رجعية ماضوية تمييزية في كثير من الأحيان - ونرى فـَهْمَنا رغم ذلك أكث منها وفاء للإسلام في أصفى منابعه, وأوفر تغذية للروح والوجدان, وأكثر استجابة للمعقولية الحديثة, ونكاد نوقن بأنّ الأغلبية المطلقة من معاصرينا تتجاوب إيجابيا مع فـَهمِنا لو قـُدّر له أن يَبلُغَنا ويُشرح لها بأمانة, لأنهه يساعدها على التخلص من الفصام الذي تعاني منه جرّاء الفهم الحَرفيّ للنصوص ووطأة التأويلات التاريخية التي تعجّ بها النصوص الثواني المنصفة حول رسالة الإسلام
