عترف باني أجد متعة كبيرة في الحديث عن العمارة، والكتابة عنها. ربما كانت طبيعة مهنتي التى مارستها لعقود، كأستاذ للعمارة، في مدارس معمارية مختلفة، هي التى سوغت وأوجدت ذلك الاهتمام بالشأن المعماري وما حوله. كما اود ان ابين، ايضاً، بانه رغم أهمية العمارة في حياة وعمل وذائقة مستخدميها الكثيرين، فأن "الكتابة المعمارية"، بقيت تمثل نشاطاً شحيحاً وغير رائج في الخطاب الثقافي المحلي عترف باني أجد متعة كبيرة في الحديث عن العمارة، والكتابة عنها. ربما كانت طبيعة مهنتي التى مارستها لعقود، كأستاذ للعمارة، في مدارس معمارية مختلفة، هي التى سوغت وأوجدت ذلك الاهتمام بالشأن المعماري وما حوله. كما اود ان ابين، ايضاً، بانه رغم أهمية العمارة في حياة وعمل وذائقة مستخدميها الكثيرين، فأن "الكتابة المعمارية"، بقيت تمثل نشاطاً شحيحاً وغير رائج في الخطاب الثقافي المحلي وحتى العربي. وهو أمر، يثير الإسف والآسى، بالطبع لجهة هذا الاقصاء المعرفي غير المبرر لإحد الإنشطة الإبداعية الهامة في حضارات الشعوب. من هنا ، وكما أعتقد، فان ظهور "كتابة: او "كتاب"، يتعاطي مع الشأن المعماري، سيكون امرا مرحباً به لناحية إضافاته المعرفية والثقافية للقارئ العربي. ومن هنا، تحديداً، يطمح كتاب "صباح الخير ..ايتها العمارة"، ان يكون ضمن تلك المساعي النبيلة والضرورية الهادفة الى تكريس العمارة ومفاهيمها في ذلك الخطاب المعرفي.
