"هبوط أورفيوس" مسرحية كتبها الأمريكي "تنيسي وليامز" عام 1957، بعد عدة محاولات سابقة بدأها بقصيدة ثم معالجة مسرحية أخرى بعنوان "معركة الملائكة" يهتز قلب العاشق بشدة، فلا يعود إلى مستقره مطلقا، وتظل روحه عالقة بروح معشوقه، فإن افترق عنه هام في الكون يبحث عنه ودليله فؤاده، فالعشق يظهر قوة المرء وجسارته التي خُلق بها، ويجعله أشد بأسا وهو وحيد، يضعفه وجود البشر حوله وبالقرب منه.
