يضم الكتاب مجموع تأملات مقتبسة من إنجيل لوقا، ومرقس، ويوحنا، ومتى، وسفر الرؤيا يمكن أن "تُقرأ هذه التأملات يوماً بعد يوم أو أسبوعياً بحسب حاجة الشخص وظروف حياته، وربما يقرأها بعضهم بالترتيب ويختار بعضهم الآخر ما يريده من نصوصها. وعلى كل حال، قد يحتاج من يتأملها إلى أن يعود إليها أكثر من مرة، ليجعل الكلمة يتردد صداها في فكره وقلبه، وتقوده برفق ولطف وعذوبة". تلك هي الرسالة التي يبعث بها الأب "نادر ميشيل إلى كل من آمن بيسوع " ...فلنستمع إلى كلمة الله، لأن كلمته حياة ...".
