هذا الكتاب ألفه إثنان من أبناء الجيل المعاصر من السود الأمريكيين ، إنهما أستاذان فى جامعتين أمريكيتين ، وهما يعرضان موضوع الرق وتجارة العبيد التى كان يقوم بها
الأوربيون والأمريكيون ويتحدثان عن أساليب صيد السود الأفريقيين وبيعهم فى المزادات كأنهم حيوانات .
وقد ترجم هذه الوثيقة وأضاف إليها تعليقات ذات قيمة كبيرة الأستاذ مصطفى الشهابى بتكليف من تحرير دار الهلال وذلك حتى نضع فى يد القارىء العربى وثيقة عظيمة الأهمية بالنسبة لتاريخ البشر والجنس الأسود بصورة خاصة .
ونرجو أن يلاحظ القارىء أن الكتاب لا يضم أي كلام عما زعمه الأوربيون من أن العرب
كانوا يصطادون الزنوج ويتاجرون فيهم .
