لا يتحقَّق شيءٌ من هذه الأهداف النبيلة حينما تُدفَع منظومة الوعي الضابط لفِكْر الأمّة وثقافتِها نحو سبل إلغاء الآخر، وإحتكار الخلاص، وإتّهام الآخرين بالكفر والزندقة لمجرّد أنّهم آخرون.. وعدمُ تحقّق هذه الأهداف النبيلة في هذه الحالة، لا يعود فقد لكون هؤلاء الآخرين لهم كرامتهم، وإنّما أيضاً لأنَّ التطرّف الذي تكون الأمّة قد غاصت في مستنقعه هو سقوطٌ أخلاقيٌّ وفكريٌّ ترفضه الفطرة النقيّة... وقبل كلِّ ذلك يتعارض مع مضامين ما تحمله رسالات الله تعالى للبشر...
وعلاقة الإنسان بالسياسة لا تنفكُّ عن علاقته بأخيه الإنسان منذ وجوده، فالحياة الإجتماعيّة تحتّم علاقات تنبض بالحياة وتتطوَّر بتطوّر الحضارة الإنسانيّة عبر الزمن... فلا يمكن فصل نظرة الإنسان في علاقاته مع الآخرين عن معتقده، وعن ثقافته، وعن خصوصيّاته التي تميَّزه عن الآخرين..
ومصيبة العلاقات الإجتماعيّة بين الناس (والتي تُعَدُّ من لبنات العلاقات السياسيّة بينهم) هو التطرُّف بما يحمله من إقصاءٍ للآخر، ومن هبوطٍ فكريٍّ عن مستوى الفكر الإنسانيِّ النبيل... وهذا التطرُّف له حواملُه العديدة التي يتسلّقها المتطرّفون، ومن أهمّها الحوامل الدينيّة عبر الإفتراء والتلبيس على حقيقة الأديان، وهناك الحوامل القوميّة، وهناك حوامل تتاجر بآلام الإنسان، وهناك وهناك...
.. وللتطرّف درجاته التي تبدأ بالفكر والثقافة، وتنتهي بقتل الآخرين... والباحث عن الحقيقة يستطيع أن يشاهد كلَّ ذلك في أيِّ عصرٍ، وفي أيِّ ساحة..
وفي الفكر المحسوب على الدِّين (والدِّين الحقّ منه براء) يتجلّى هذا التطرّف في أبشع صوره، كَوْن المتطرّف ينطلق من تصوّرات يحسبها عين مراد الله تعالى، وينطلق من تكليفه لنفسه بأنّه الناطق الرسميُّ بإسم الله تعالى فوق هذه الأرض، وأنّه يُجسِّد مُراده، ومن مسؤوليّاته فرض العقوبات التي تهواها نفسه على البشر كسلطة تشريعيّة ناطقة بإسم الله تعالى، والقيام بتنفيذ ذلك عليهم كسلطة تنفيذيّة تعتبر نفسها يد الله تعالى في الأرض.
